Groningen Athletics has been organizing this events for 31 years. In the winter months (November to February) every 3rd Sunday morning running in het stadspark. Start on the athletics track, then run 3km laps through the city park. 5 euros each time, or 16 euros for all 4 runs.

Over 20.000 participants every year (possible less this year because of you know what). Online registration possible until Saturday. When not participating, just watching is also very entertaining and less exhausting, but maybe also less satisfying.

The course is from this year a distance of 4 nautical miles, a distance of 7.408 km. Furthermore, it is a beautiful, wide and varied course. You walk through a large part of Delfzijl. You will pass through green areas and historic places. The statue of Maigret, the Damsterdiep and the sea are not forgotten either. The start will be on the new athletics track and the finish will be in the center this year.
