Leek is a village 20 km South West of Groningen. For over 30 years, there is the Leekster Lente Loop (Leek spring run) an event with many runners from the north of the Netherlands. Various distances can be covered from 5-21 km.

Due to corona the event won’t take place in its normal way, but a very good alternative is available. From 20-28 March there will be a starting (and finish) line available and the whole route (5,10,21,42km) will be marked with arrows (also a gpx file is available). You can run the route by yourself or with a group of friends with a maximum of the governmental guidlines at that moment.

Leek has a frequent and direct bus connection from various places in Groningen.
